After the firm started its operations, a lot of plays were put up which became phenomenally successful. In a few years the group embarked on a career in television serial productions in Gujarati. Four Gujarati serials consisting of 78 episodes were produced and telecast on Gujarat Doordarshan in a single year. This in itself is a unique record for Gujarat Doordarshan.
Then, the productions of serials in Hindi began and in a short span of three years Shobhna Desai Productions became a known entity in producing fiction based software.
